- Description
- Landscape sketch showing view of succeeding mountain ridges extending to the horizon--likely the Red Hills of Jamaica--rendered in a reddish-brown. Smoke of a fire rises along the slope at right. Before this range, a cultivated valley comprises the middle distance. In the immediate foreground, at left, the upper branches of a nearby tree are visible. Above, a hazy yellow-blue sky hosts several puffy clouds.
