The center has three lines of black text [WE / SHALL / OVERCOME]. At the top, curving around the edge of the button, is white text [STUDENT NONVIOLENT]. At the bottom, curving around the edge of the button [COORDINATING COMMITTEE]. The back of the button has metal pin with a clasp.
