- Description
- A digital aerial photograph of remnant rice fields near Wilmington, North Carolina. It features remnant rice fields with vestigial canals and “quarter ditches” along the bottom edge, just below Brunswick River. Eagle Island can be seen on the other side of the river, also with remnant fields. Just beyond Eagle Island, two bridges reach over Cape Fear River, connecting Eagle Island to the surrounding land masses. Out in the distance, Battleship North Carolina can be seen docked on Eagle Island, just across from Wilmington’s Historic District.
