- Summary
- This lightweight communications headset was worn by astronaut Neil Armstrong on the Apollo 11 mission in July 1969. Though the astronauts wore a full communications cap under their helmets with their spacesuits, this headset was lighter and less confining so used more regularly during normal operations inside the spacecraft.
- NASA transferred this tube to the Museum in 1970 with other Apollo 11 equipment.
