- Postcard produced in France. World War I. Front has cartoon illustration of childlike characterization of a soldier consoling a crying woman with promises of "I'll write to you," as he prepares to leave on a train. The opposite side has handwritten message by Private Chas Lutz. Addressed to Mrs. Benjamin Hammond, Middleton, Pennsylvania. Franked soldier's mail. Postmarked October 21, 1918 at APO 756. Censor mark with signature.
