- This image depicts musicians Dizzy Gillespie and James Moody performing at Resurrection City during the Poor People's Campaign, May-June 1968. Gillespie, standing to the left, wearing a dark colored sweatshirt, dark pants, and white sneakers, plays his trumpet, the bell bent upward. Moody, standing to the right, wearing a dark three piece suit, plays the saxophone. Both men wear glasses with heavy dark rims. There is a microphone standing between them. Behind them is a three piece band: one man, wearing a black suit, plays the drums, a second man is a light colored cardigan plays the bass, and a third man in a dark colored sweater plays the piano. The stage is outdoors and trees can be seen in the background.
