Cellphone case: Dancing Dragonflies
Object Details
- Donor Name
- Jennie Kappenman
- Cellphone/mobile phone case has a black thermoplastic polymer body with a wood (bamboo) face printed with five stylized, multi-colored dragonflies in green, orange, pink, yellow, white and black. An impressed pattern is visible around the sides of the case. Portals created in the case provide access to phone buttons and plugs. "Not only is this ... dragonfly design inspired by Michelle [Lowden's] father's cottonwood sculptures, but the dragonfly also holds cultural significance. For the Acoma Pueblo, the dragonfly is seen as a good sign or good luck for when you plant because they pollinate your crop." (https://www.milocreations.com/products/dragonfly-sticker-packet).
