- From card: "Beer jugs of silver with dragon handle gilded and colored. Base in repousse work with gilded and silver wave and lotus designs. Three applied gilded repousse plaques on the body of the jug, one bearing a cloud and dragon design, the other two bearing phoenix and flower designs. Around the neck of the jugs is an applied gilded repousse band bearing images of Lama Buddhist deities and Buddhist sacred emblems on background of lotus designs. Below this is a gilded repousse wave design. Below the plain gilded lip of the jug is a repousse gilded lotus design. Inside the back of the neck of the jugs is a gilded repousse applied plaque representing two animals supporting a lotus flower. Lent to NMAH - Div. of Political History, 2/21/89." Card also indicates "1 returned July 17, 1957." The word "returned" was subsequently lined through and the word "trans" (i.e. transferred) writen in its place.
