Coffey Garden
Object Details
- General
- There is a remote possibility that this garden, whose location cannot be determined, was designed by and was the home of Clara Stimson Coffey, a landscape architect who was Chief of Tree Plantings with the City of New York Department of Parks & Recreation. The garden featured borders, some climbing plants, and woodland paths. The overall effect was one of understatement that complemented the contemporary design of the house and its placement in a wooded setting.
