Somerset Hills (?) / Morristown (?) -- Landfall
Object Details
- General
- Probably located in Somerset Hills, New Jersey, Landfall was the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Bourne. A country estate, it featured a traditional Georgian Style brick house. A flagstone terrace was flanked by perennial and shrub borders and provided seating to enjoy views of surrounding garden areas, lawns, woods, and countryside. Featured plants included iris, lupine, weeping cherry, yew, and red cedar. Images 001-004 may be of another garden, although they were printed on the same contact sheet as those that are clearly identifiable as Landfall.
