This gallery features private, non-commercial airline and non-military flight used to transport people, products, and services in the United States.

Highlights include:

  • Piper PA-12, City of Washington: f1st round-the-world flight by a light plane, 1947
  • Beechcraft 35 Bonanza, Waikiki Beach: flew from Hawaii to New Jersey, 1949
  • Cessna 180, Spirit of Columbus, 1st solo, globe-circling flight by a woman, Jerrie Mock, taking 29 days, 1964
  • A Fly-In: films explain the subject of fly-ins

Additions include:

  • January 31, 1981 - World Champion U.S. Aerobatic Team: On view are 2 trophies awarded to the U.S. Aerobatic Team during the 1980 World Aerobatic Championship. Included with the "Nesterov" team trophy and the "Aresti" individual trophy are photographs of the team.
