Arne Jacobsen, Danish Architect and Designer

May 13, 1976 – August 1, 1976

See photographic panels that illustrate his architectural work, while more than 100 objects present a selection of his product designs.

Among his architectural achievements are the SAS Royal Hotel and Air Terminal in Copenhagen, the Royal Danish Embassy in London and St. Catherine's College in Oxford.

Objects on view include lamps, stainless steel flatware and serving accessories, kitchen and bath fittings, textiles, clocks and furniture, including his famous Egg, Swan and Ant chairs.

The exhibition will be circulated by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES).

Queen Margrethe II will be present at the preview opening May 12.
